A little transparency
Your curiosity.
Your choices.
Here is what the website’s own code does with your information.
No sign-up to explore.
The Aroma Soda site does not include an account system, checkout, newsletter form, analytics scripts, advertising trackers or tracking cookies in its supplied website code. You do not need to give us your name or email to use the aroma explorer or quiz.
The aroma quiz
Your quiz answers are processed in your browser. They are held temporarily in memory while you use the page, not submitted to a server by the site’s code. The quiz is a playful preference exercise, not a scientific assessment, health recommendation or sensory test.
Sharing or copying a result happens only when you choose the relevant button. A shared link may include an aroma concept identifier, such as ?aroma=citrus. It does not contain your quiz answers.
A few preferences, on your device.
Where your browser permits it, this site uses local storage to remember the aroma concept you selected and whether you have paused decorative motion. These values stay in your browser and are not sent to an application backend by the website.
The keys are aromasoda:aroma and aromasoda:motion. Private browsing, browser settings or clearing site data may prevent or erase this storage. The experience still works without it.
Hosting and outside links.
A website host or content-delivery provider may process standard request information, such as IP address, browser details and request time, to serve the site. Those practices depend on the actual hosting provider and its configuration; this page does not claim that server logs do not exist.
Links to research papers, patents and company explainers take you to other websites. Their privacy practices apply there. The report download is hosted with this website.
Browser sharing, clipboard permissions and PDF handling are controlled in part by your browser or operating system.
Designed to be explored your way.
The site includes keyboard-operable controls, labeled navigation, a skip link, visible focus indicators, reduced-motion support and a manual motion toggle. Native expandable questions work without JavaScript. The aroma explorer’s content remains available when scripts are disabled.
Screen illustrations cannot reproduce scent. The can-opening animation and aroma trails are visual explanations, not a physical aroma experience. The site makes no claim of certified accessibility conformance.
